Christmas tree erecting

Arranging ornaments.
Assembling tree.
Linsey.

We spent Thursday night putting up our Christmas tree.
During the process I had a strange urging to resort to my childhood and go cut down a tree.
Next year we'll likely go natural, the way it was meant to be.

Your first Christmas as man and wife. Wow that was a fun time for me. You sure have tons of ornaments for your first year, good for you.

I have collected a ornament every year for each child since they were born. On their wedding they will receive a box filled with their ornaments since their first Christmas. They love to get their ornament that we pick out for them every year. This year, Bill bought Patrick the Hallmark one of Ralphy from The Christmas Story. He is holding his "red rider" rifle. So cute.

Nice Christmas tree Stephen and Linsey. I want to comment on Lizzy's comment. Lizzy, that is such a great idea that you did for your kids. I love it. Maybe it will be past on to the next generation of Bergers!

Linsey has been collecting ornaments since she was a small girl. Each of them has a story that somehow she has managed to remember from year to year and likes to recite as she hangs them on the tree. They mean a lot to her.

Wow, good for you, Linsey. Somehow I've managed to lose every nicknack of my childhood. My favorite ornaments were the ones we made in school with the pictures and pipe cleaners.
Does anyone ever actually clean pipes with those? They ought to call them fuzzy bendy art crap sticks, even at the tobacco store.

Wow Linsey, that is so awesome about the ornament story. I can just use my imagination by thinking of you with each of the ornaments, telling Stephen about it's history. Some day you will be able to tell your babies about them, and about the ones you don't even have yet. Love you guys to pieces.

John, the pipe cleaners are a joke, aren't they. I think they should be called, harry, spindley, pokers.

That is exactly what we all call Harry Mason!
