Wedding cake

This is the wedding cake that Linsey made for some friends from work, who were married Sunday. She also made the little cakes, called petit-fours.  We delivered the cakes this afternoon (and missed the first half of the Patriot's game). It looked very nice in the reception hall. I was quite impressed with her work.

That is beautiful, Linsey; good job. And I am a boy, so thinking much of anything about a cake is a big deal.
Are those edible silver BBs?

Linsey, I'm very proud of you. You took on a big job, and succeded. It is beautiful. I have the same questions as John, are those edible bb gun pellets? How did you make such adorable petit fours.(sp)

The answer to the question has two parts: Yes, they are edible and, no, they are not BBs. It was a very fun to try something new...I hope Matt and Mary liked it.

Honey,
I've told everyone about the cake. Mrs. Lawrence said...Can't wait to see a new store front named Tait's Treats! Grandma Furby saw the pic's and said... she's some kid, that Linsey! The cake is just beautiful and I know if you continue to bake now and then for people you'll continue to create beautiful pieces of art. I'm proud of you for taking this on.

Hey Linsey- So I had no idea that you had this Blog/Website. My mom told me about it, of all people. I am so amazed with that wedding cake and speaking from a "bride to be" that has seen a lot of cakes I hope that comes as a great compliment to you. How are you at making pastries? The Batista/Meinecke wedding still needs a baker :) Anyway, I hope things are going well with you. I just found out yesterday that I am getting a promotion at work which means an extra week of vacation, so I am hoping to plan a trip to see You and Shelby. We will have to work something out. Love you and miss you ~ Carrie
